Plans and coordinates all aspects of internal IT specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects would typically be larger or more complex. Responsibilities include overseeing and executing IT projects for the Watershed Management Information Services team at the Department of Watershed Management. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to plan project scope, objectives, and deliverables, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth project transitions with minimal disruptions to business operations. Tasks involve managing project tasks, tracking project progress, and resolving issues promptly. Additionally, managing the scope, schedule, and budget of projects, coordinating between technical teams and business sponsors to ensure compliance with regulations and successful project completion. The role also involves evaluating potential issues, risks, and scope changes, championing user experience enhancements, and providing expertise in project management processes and team dynamics. This is a fully seasoned professional level capable of independently carrying out most assignments. This level would be attainable by multiple incumbents in a work group (not necessarily by all), but would not be an automatic promotional level. Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect within the project team, ensuring alignment with departmental values and behaviors. Provides leadership in change management practices to support adoption of new systems and processes.
