As a Raytheon Digital Technology (DT) Program Digital Services (PDS) Naval Power Section/Technical Contributor, you will collaborate and partner with cross-section of DT, engineering, cybersecurity, and program leadership partners, in support of one of the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit based in Tucson AZ. As a Section Manager, this leader will be responsible for leading a team consisting of approximately 6-10 systems administrators to enable program execution across multiple security domains (collateral, proprietary, and unclassified), which include engineering labs and factories. In addition, a portion of this role’s responsibilities will include hands on system administration duties in environments with a heterogeneous mix of computer, server, and networked hardware and software platforms. The leader will establish a vision, set direction, develop and motivate high-performing technical professionals to deliver business value and results. The leader will partner across DT and other RTX functions to drive new technology insertion, sustainment direction, and support programs through the entire lifecycle. The leader will have the responsibility for all aspects of people management including hiring, staff development, training, and performance appraisals.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s and 8 years of experience or a master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must have active and transferrable final U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience managing or leading teams
  • Experience with IT industry technologies and IT system administration duties
  • Experience with solving technical, analytical, and problem-solving activities
  • Experience in Windows and or Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening

  • Knowledge of DFARs, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements and controls
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in Cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a business case for investment to senior management and executive audiences

  • Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team aligned with Raytheon’s vision, strategy, and values.
  • Perform team leadership duties including performance reviews, career development, resource planning, and hiring.
  • Manage employee performance, time reporting, training, and onboarding activities.
  • Oversee local team’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and report status to senior leadership.
  • Oversee IT systems administration across Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Direct system operations including maintenance, optimization, account management, and recurring admin functions.
  • Supervise system administrators managing accounts, documentation, software installs, and storage allocation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving hardware and OS integration.
  • Coordinate technical documentation reviews and resolve system admin and integration issues.
  • Participate in change control processes, including multi-level Change Management Boards.
  • Collaborate with peer groups to ensure seamless service delivery and technology implementation.
  • Represent the team in technical and functional meetings, providing leadership across cross-functional efforts.
  • Assign, track, and report on team tasks and project progress.
  • Support a daily onsite work environment and attend required conferences and meetings.
  • Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of hire date
  • Minimal travel up to 5% required.
