About The Position

The Route Sales Representative will be responsible for overseeing Eillien’s Candies DSD Sales Route covering Southern Wisconsin. This position visits stores, writes orders, processes credits, works out overstock, ensures product rotation, and communicates product promotions. The Sales Representative will need to work independently with stores to recommend improvements to the assortment, present new ideas for growth opportunities, and execute product sets and resets when needed. As a Sales Representative for Eillien’s, you are the face of Eillien’s to our customers, so building a very solid relationship with your stores is critical to your success in this role. You will be traveling to stores in your designated markets for most of the week and will be in our Green Bay, WI office on Fridays.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to build professional relationships
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined to work independently
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems, and then work for solutions with your customers
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in retail, sales or account management required
  • valid driver’s license must be maintained

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field desired, but not required
  • Retail sales or management experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in food sales, production and/or manufacturing helpful

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly visits to each store location assigned
  • Create orders during your visits through your provided tablet pc and write credit slips
  • Balance quantity of overstock items for each customer to maintain great in-stocks between visits, while still minimizing outdated product.
  • Ensure effective customer relations through each visit and communication back to the support teams to solve problems and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Work to continuously improve in store presentation and assortment in each location by presenting new ideas for continued customer growth.
  • Maintain positive and effective verbal and written communication with all assigned customers
