About The Position

Officer: Provide a security for company resources, guests and team members in accordance with Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise and the respective security department policies Perform chip and credit transactions and money transfers, verifies amount by signature, in accordance with company, Tribal, State and Federal guidelines Maintain a high level of knowledge and proficiency in casino and department procedures and policies Detect and correct safety and/or security problems which endanger guests, team members or assets Respond to incidents, unusual occurrences and take immediate action, when appropriate, to correct the situation and/or report the incident Escort casino funds and direct traffic to ensure safety Apprehend suspects to prevent escape and/or loss of company resources Assist and provide medical aid Perform other functions and tasks assigned Supervisor: Safeguards assets. Administer all security activity for assigned shift and to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations. Directs employees engaged in emergency situations. Prepare written incident report for customer complaints or disputes. Has access to all areas under the direction of the Director of Security. To supervise the activities of the Security Officers. Supervises training in addition to the security certifications mandated by the gaming commissions rules and regulations. To assist in ensuring that cash and other assets of the casino are protected at all times. To assist in maintaining order in the casino. Rotate the Security Officers in making the Blackjack drop count and Slot machine drop and closing of any or all departments involved with a cash register. To supervise the clocking in and out of employees. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must not have a felony on their record
  • Should have some type of law enforcement background
  • Supervisory experience is necessary, In-house security background will be considered
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 40+ lbs
  • Capable of doing scheduling and administrative paperwork
  • Must obtain a Key Gaming License upon hire
