About The Position

Dryer Plant Labor: Responsible for performing the daily tasks associated with the efficient operation of the dryer plant. Duties include but are not limited to monitoring the operation of drying equipment producing product according to USDA and Rose Acre Farms quality regulations as they apply to dried egg, ensuring daily paperwork is recorded properly and accurately, and any other tasks as indicated by management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (non-exclusive list) Operate and monitor Dryer Plant equipment. Start-up and shut-down the dryer according to standard procedures. Monitor and record operational readings such as pressure, dryer temperature, and others. Daily set-up of dryer. Oversight of non-operational cleaning. Ensure records and documents are kept up to date in all areas of dryer operations in compliance with USDA & Rose Acre Farms quality regulations. Other tasks as assigned. Report any food safety and quality issues/problems to supervisors. Follow standard operating & sanitation procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), safety rules and policies, Rose Acres Biosecurity policies, and all other Rose Acres policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Able to lift 50 pounds during break rotation and while disassembling equipment for cleaning.
  • Must be capable of performing routine math calculations, including percentages and fractions.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must possess good communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions while operating equipment
  • Occasional climbing, reaching, pushing and pulling
  • Must maintain a flexible work schedule, working on feet up to 12 hours per day, and capable of working late and during the weekends if needed to complete the job.
  • Capable of helping the other departments as needed.
