About The Position

EDUCATION: Highschool Diploma/GED and experience leading a team in close quarters. EXPERIENCE: Equivalent work experience in casino environment in either casino Cage, Slot, Sportsbook or Table Games areas. Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. Ability to solve complex problems. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment. Knowledge and understanding of state gaming regulations, and internal controls related to the count area. Adjust to a variety of tasks and deadlines that may require and irregular work schedule. Must be able to work at a fast pace in a stressful environment. Manage time effectively. Ability to use or learn to use a 10 key adding machine. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to be approved and maintain licensure by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Must have a high level of integrity and reliability. Must be able to distinguish between colors. Stand for the entirety of shift when not on break. Lift, push, or pull up to 75lbs. Bend, stoop, twist and squat on a consistent basis. Comfortable with working in close quarters with no window access. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for efficient overall operation of the count room and staff. Assure that gaming device/table drops, and count room procedures are followed in compliance with gaming regulations. Completion of required financial reports, paperwork, and security of information. Assure adherence of internal controls for all accounting and cash handling processes related to the count department. Complete interviews for hires when needed. Monitor and adjust staffing levels to achieve proper workflow while maintaining budgeted levels of employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities to Count Leads. Development of staff. When necessary, issue disciplinary counseling’s up to and including termination. Hold quarterly meetings with Count Leads, performance evaluations for count staff in line with company standards as assigned. Create/ review drop schedule with Cage Director. Review drop and count room activities with the Director Cage Operations. Meet with departmental supervisors and managers as necessary. Other duties assigned and/or authorized by PGCB. Work under pressure and make sound decisions in stressful situations. Maintain fast-paced workflow. Possess a high level of integrity. Work independently and as a team.
