About The Position

THE DRIVING RANGE MASTER SUPPORTS FIREARMS AND TACTICAL TRAINING OPERATIONS BY OVERSEEING DAILY ACTIVITIES AT ASSIGNED TRAINING RANGES. THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING RANGE FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, AND TRAINING SUPPORT RESOURCES ARE PROPERLY PREPARED, MAINTAINED, AND AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT SCHEDULED TRAINING EXERCISES. THE DRIVING RANGE MASTER WORKS CLOSELY WITH INSTRUCTORS, STUDENTS, AND PROGRAM STAFF TO ENSURE SAFE AND EFFICIENT TRAINING OPERATIONS. CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience supporting firearms ranges, training facilities, or outdoor operational environments preferred.
  • Ability to follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with instructors, students, and support personnel.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required FLETC access credentials.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting law enforcement or military training ranges.
  • Familiarity with range safety procedures and training support operations.
  • Experience working in a government training environment or contractor support role.
  • Experience maintaining training equipment or range materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare training ranges and associated facilities in advance of scheduled training activities.
  • Ensure targets, range equipment, and support materials are properly set up and available for training events.
  • Coordinate with instructors and training personnel to support daily training schedules.
  • Monitor range operations to ensure adherence to established safety procedures and facility guidelines.
  • Assist with issuing, collecting, and accounting for range equipment and training materials.
  • Inspect range areas and equipment to ensure serviceability and readiness.
  • Maintain inventory and storage of range supplies and materials.
  • Ensure range facilities are clean, organized, and maintained in accordance with operational standards.
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisory personnel.
  • Provide general logistical support to instructors and training staff as required.
