Driver with Class B license - Part-Time Weekend Shift
About The Position

Freedom Village is proud to be a debt free Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and has been serving seniors in South Orange County, California since 1987. Our beautiful campus includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing. We are currently accepting applications for Driver in our Transportation department! The Driver provides transportation services to Freedom Village residents, guests and associates. Assists with resident pick up appointments at Freedom Village, driving residents to nearby shopping malls and medical appointments. This position requires the successful completion of orientation and safe driver training course. The Driver operates the vehicle and or bus safely, ensuring residents and passengers are safe and secured before departing. Reviews the daily schedule and map areas to prepare for the assignments. Assists residents to and from the vehicle or bus safely. Assists with personal items including groceries and or packages. Must be able to understand and follow instructions and demonstrate the ability to learn and follow all safety transportation rules. Must demonstrate understanding of and respect for residents' rights. Must have the ability to interact professionally with residents, guests and associates. Completes required pre trip inspections and performs safety checks to ensure vehicle and or bus mechanical safety and cleanliness prior to operating or departure. Immediately records and reports any concerns noted to the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Requires a valid Class B commercial license with passenger endorsement.
- Maintain a positive driving record and provide a current copy of the H6 printout from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

- Previous experience working with seniors is a plus!
