About The Position

Now Hiring DRIVERS w/ OPEN Availability $23.46/Hr. - NO CDL REQUIRED As a Paratransit Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a transit motor vehicle and providing excellent customer service for a Twenty-four (24) Seven (7) Operation. Sick time: 40 hours of paid after 12 months of employment Jury Duty: Up to 5 paid days of jury duty service after 12 months of employment Bereavement Leave: up to 3 days for qualifying family members Paid Holidays: 8 paid holidays Driver Vacation Time: 1-2 completed years of service shall earn five (5) days (40 hours) of vacation per year. 3 completed years of service shall earn ten (10) days (80 hours) of vacation per year. 4 or more completed years of service shall earn fifteen (15) days (120 hours) of vacation per year. 10 or more completed years of service shall earn twenty (20) days (160 hours) of vacation per year. Requirements

  • 21 years or older.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
  • Current valid driver's license for least five (5) years.
  • Clean driving record (No more than one (1) moving violations in five (5) years) and a reliable employment history.
  • Sincere desire to work with the general public, especially the elderly and people with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of the local city area.
  • Comfort with maps and GPS systems
  • Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading of passengers on vehicles.
  • Transporting of passengers that are either senior citizens or persons with disabilities.
  • Four point securement of wheelchairs and scooters.
  • Escorting passengers from vehicle to/from first portal of locations.
  • Using radio to communicate transport details with dispatch.
