About The Position

Drives van to transport residents by performing the following duties. Essential Position Functions The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule. Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip. Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service. Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictions. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Chauffer's license required.
• Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred, but not required.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
