About The Position

Shape Safety Culture from the Ground Up Hill Bros Transportation is seeking a Driver Training Lead who believes that great drivers are made, not born. If you're passionate about safety, skilled at coaching without shaming, and want to make a real impact on driver performance and retention, this role is for you. What You'll Do: Lead our driver safety and training initiatives by conducting camera event coaching, training ride-alongs, new hire road tests, and hands-on safety coaching. You'll review telematics and dash camera events to identify high-risk behaviors, then work one-on-one with drivers to improve their skills and safety awareness. From pre-trip inspections and accident investigations to yard safety audits and cross-dock support, you'll be instrumental in reducing preventable accidents while building a stronger safety culture. This isn't about punishment—it's about development, mentoring, and helping drivers succeed.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE CURRENT CDL-A
  • 3+ years of commercial driving experience - you understand what drivers face on the road
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and defensive driving principles
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Comfortable with telematics systems and camera footage review
  • Ability to work Tuesday–Saturday schedule with weekend operational support
  • Someone who can balance accountability with relationship-building
