Our people make the difference, and we’re committed to setting every driver up for success. The Role at a Glance: We’re seeking a Driver Trainer to help evaluate, coach, and support our driving team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring safe driving practices, developing new talent, and contributing to overall routing and delivery efficiency. If you’re an experienced Class A driver who enjoys mentoring others, improving safety standards, and finding smart solutions on the road, this is the role for you.

Requirements

  • A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
  • At least 3 years of transportation experience
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
  • Ability to use portable communications and onboard technology
  • Computer proficiency, including driver app and dashboard tools
  • A self-starter mindset—comfortable working independently and in a team

Responsibilities

  • Driver Evaluation & Training Conduct driver evaluations and road tests
  • Train drivers on pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Coach drivers through CDL training
  • Provide re-training following accidents or safety violations
  • Delivery Productivity Evaluate time at stops to ensure efficiency
  • Verify and review productivity scores for each driver
  • New Driver Onboarding Administer road tests for potential new hires
  • Lead new hire orientation and initial driver training
  • Route & Scheduling Support Assist in determining new stops, route adjustments, or route removals
  • Help set driver start times based on routes and delivery needs
  • Support drivers with route and off-route challenges
  • Safety & Culture Actively participate in the Safety Committee
  • Reinforce PCF’s safety-first culture through ongoing training and mentorship
