The NIM Transportation Driver Supervisor will be responsible for driver recruitment, development and retention of drivers along with dispatch, routing and truck shop management. Uses Samsara to maintain drivers logs, HOS violations, unassigned driving time and driver tracking. Uses Samsara's safety features and the driver scorecard as tools to coach and maintain a safe fleet. Follows the accident reporting process for notification and works with all parties during the Accident Investigation for future prevention. Is involved in driver recruiting and the hiring / onboarding process. Maintains Driver Qualification Files in accordance with FMCSA. Keeps track of and communicates with the corporate truck shop on maintaining tractors, trailers, parts and equipment inventories. Selects and works with The Corporate Safety team to keep driver trainers updated on Smith Systems to ensure new drivers are being trained effectively. Prepares, conducts and presents quarterly safety meetings to inform and coach drivers in all aspects of transportation safety. Goes on driver ride-along for coaching and driver evaluation opportunities as well as customer relations.
