About The Position

The Driver Supervisor is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating daily operational activities for the transportation department. This includes providing direct supervision of our professional drivers. The Driver Supervisor will be the main line of communication to our employees through answering questions, providing coaching, scheduling, training, and enforcing company policies. Supervisors will also be responsible for administering the technology, metrics, and goals for the department. The ideal candidate will optimize operations while keeping compliance and safety a top priority.

Requirements

  • A College Degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3+ years transportation industry experience.
  • Understanding of Transportation related technology such as Lytx, Geotab, and Shipright.
  • Understand DOT Regulations and be familiarized with FMCSA.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • CDL license required.
  • Have the ability to work evening and night hours. Additionally, be able to be on-call.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Proficient technology skills such as using email, Microsoft Suit, and logistics software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the driver helpline and departmental email communications.
  • Coordinate driver logistics, including supply orders, hotel bookings, and scheduling.
  • Support transportation operations by attending meetings, building reports, and maintaining driver route documentation.
  • Oversee driver performance through ride-alongs, evaluations, and incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management on production and loading coordination.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with pre/post-trip inspections, fueling, and safety protocols.
  • Utilize systems such as Excel, Shipright, and Geotab for reporting, log management, and data accuracy.
  • Administer relief driver assignments, late route notifications, and pay-related submissions.
  • Verify trailer temperatures, equipment quality, and scanner compliance.
  • Develop proficiency in third-party backhaul scheduling.
  • Occasionally assist on routes.
