The Driver Safety System (DSS) is a technology designed to detect operator fatigue and distraction events, and the system alerts the operator the moment the fatigue or distraction is detected and nudges them back to alertness. The DSS Monitoring Center classifies events from over 250 sites around the globe, and our team intervenes when necessary to ensure operator and mine site safety. As a Driver Safety System Advisor, you will provide safety services on a global scale! You will evaluate system data and video clips related to operator fatigue and distraction events, apply applicable event classifications, and contact customer site to report safety issues when necessary. We currently have two open positions available: Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Both shifts are 12 hours and follow a rotating schedule, which includes some weekends and holidays. Requirements

  • Quality Management: Experience working in customer service, safety, call center, or inspection fields. Familiarity with safety monitoring and reporting. Basic understanding of quality principles (auditing, random sampling, document control).
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Demonstrated attention to detail (Inspection, Auditing, Proofreading).
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change. Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in an operation or business-related discipline.
  • Mining industry experience.
  • Experience with Lean quality principals.
  • Multilingual (any language)

Responsibilities

  • Use of third-party software to evaluate safety related videos and equipment health, classify events, and record actions taken.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the three DSS event classification matrices.
  • Provide timely verbal communication to customer when necessary to intervene during live safety events
  • Use language translation software and/or service when needed to communicate in the customer's local language.
  • Build collaborative relationships with fellow safety advisors and participate in real time team discussions on event classifications.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Maintain minimum department required Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - Accuracy and Response time.
