About The Position

UFP Industries is a multibillion-dollar holding company with subsidiaries around the globe that serve three markets: retail, packaging, and construction. Our transportation organization is actively seeking a driver recruiter who can create a pool of qualified candidates and hire drivers who meet company standards and are a good cultural fit. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and develop strategies that attract and retain qualified drivers, specifically supporting a region of our private fleet network, which is comprised of over 400 power units across the United States. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in recruiting; 2-5 years preferred
  • Knowledge of FMCSA driver qualification and hiring rules
  • Experience with Workday ATS and Tenstreet is highly preferred
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Adept at placing ads on job boards and other social platforms
  • Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated administrative experience
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with good interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Emphasis on Human Resources a plus
  • CDL Truck Driver recruiting experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure UFPT attracts, hires, and retains the best drivers while growing a strong talent pipeline
  • Initiate driver leads by networking, calling prospects, and building relationships as part of a coordinated recruiting strategy
  • Work in collaboration with driver managers to meet recruiting needs and hiring objectives
  • Manage and maintain open job requisitions and candidates within both Workday and Tenstreet in assigned region, utilizing reports and metrics to ensure effectiveness & efficiency
  • Responsible for screening, qualifying, and selecting Company Driver applicants for driver positions
  • Review driver candidate applications for job fit and compliance, and conduct phone interviews to evaluate skills for potential placement
  • Communicate our driver opportunities to prospective candidates
  • Explain benefits and why they should want to work with UFPT
  • Present and portray UFP Transportation's vision and strategy during formal and informal events
  • Manage ad posting process and tools
  • Work with Fleet Services to ensure all required application files are obtained and submitted
  • Complete previous employment verifications (PEVs) for new hires to stay DOT compliant
  • Perform other duties consistent with the Company’s policies and in compliance with regulatory requirements
