About The Position

Aitken Manufacturing (a subsidiary of DBM Global) is looking to hire a Delivery Driver at its shop in Houston. Since the 1940s, Aitken has manufactured dependable equipment for oil, gas, petrochemical, and pipeline industries. We are looking for the right professional to join our growing organization. Employee Value Proposition Critical to the needs of our Shop Department, the Delivery Driver will complete local pick-ups and deliveries using a Company vehicle. The Delivery Driver will assist the shipping/receiving department and shop when not performing deliveries. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
A minimum of five (5) years driving experience
Current MVR must comply with Company standards
Must have a thorough understanding and ability to adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Ability to understand street maps and other written instructions.
Able to lift 60 pounds
Able to communicate professionally with other employees, supervisors, and personnel from outside agencies.

Responsibilities

Make deliveries to specified destinations in a safe and timely fashion.
Load and unload various material to Company truck using forklift
Ensure that vehicle is in proper working conditions by performing pre/post trip inspections.
Verify the content of materials to Company orders.
Report any mechanical problems with Company vehicle.
Work in shipping depart boxing and palletizing orders.
