Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance for shifts and obligations
  • Effective communicator.
  • Minimum Education - High School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred
  • Previous Experience - 7 years or more driving experience
  • Knowledge of Colorado traffic laws
  • Knowledge of Denver Metro and Aurora area streets

  • Experience with RVs or Mobile Clinics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate the mobile clinic to and from scheduled service locations, events, and maintenance facilities when volunteers are not available.
  • Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, organizational policies, and safety protocols.
  • Park, level, and secure the vehicle at service sites, including extending awnings, setting up stairs, ramps, or leveling systems.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and trip logs.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, and other systems.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic at each site
  • Support staff with loading and unloading medical equipment, supplies, and outreach materials.
  • Maintain documentation of fuel receipts, maintenance records, and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clinic staff, maintenance personnel, and leadership regarding scheduling, vehicle needs, and safety
  • Assist the program manager in training volunteer drivers.
  • Perform routine inspections on the mobile clinic's engine, generator, tires, fluids, lights, HVAC, etc.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for the mobile clinic including oil changes, servicing the generator, winterizing, roof sealants, etc.
  • Schedule and coordinate major repairs and servicing with qualified vendors.
  • Maintain maintenance records, service logs, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure the vehicle is fueled and road-ready for each deployment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for vehicle systems and onboard equipment.
  • Assist with minor maintenance or repair tasks onboard the mobile clinic.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to the mobile clinic manager.
  • Track mileage, generator hours, and fuel usage for reporting and budgeting.
  • Dump black tank contents at storage facility on a weekly basis or more if needed.
  • Fill water tanks when necessary.
  • Keep the vehicle clean inside and out, ensuring a professional appearance for patients and community partners.
