Everyone at Swift has a voice and your opinion matters. What does a typical day look like: Lead a fleet of 10+ drivers and manage driver availability to maximize productivity of their fleet. The driver leader will coach a successful fleet of drivers by relationship building, effective daily communication, and internal networking with departments to identify lanes that fit both the driver and customer needs, while at the same time, contribute to the overall profitability of the company. Driver leaders keep driver safety as their top priority and make decisions that establish compliance. You are the Relationship Builder! Develop high performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching and positive reinforcement You are the Strategy Leader! Meet drive home time expectations by actively managing expectations and keeping commitments to ensure freight is delivered on time to the customer. Maximize P/L for all assigned tractors and trailers. You Drive Safety! Our main priority is keeping our driving associates safe out on the road. By successfully managing safety, we are also able to achieve insurance and claims cost as a percentage of revenue targets. What skills are needed for success in this role:

Requirements

  • Ability to lead others
  • Possess exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Work in high pressure situations/ fast paced environment
  • 2+ years in Operations and/or Planning and/or Customer Accounts required
  • Associate's degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

Responsibilities
