About The Position

The Driver Manager plays a critical role in ensuring transportation operations run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position is responsible for developing and executing daily, weekly, and mid-range dispatch plans while overseeing all Dress drivers and transportation equipment.

This leader will drive performance across safety, service, and cost while implementing best practices and supporting continuous improvement across transportation operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required

• Transportation, dispatch, or logistics experience preferred—but we are willing to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Ensure all loads are picked up and delivered on time
• Communicate proactively with drivers and external carriers daily
• Dispatch company drivers and third-party carriers
• Manage documentation for all driver dispatches
• Schedule and coordinate customer appointments
• Oversee driver payroll and time tracking
• Manage Yard Jockey schedules and coverage
• Monitor and maintain department training (Alchemy)
• Handle driver PTO, vacation requests, and related needs
• Approve driver uniform orders
• Ensure dispatch accuracy within ERP system (Business Central)
• Prepare and process all required transportation paperwork
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
• Communicate updates with Sales, Shipping, Security, and leadership
• Report equipment damage and coordinate with maintenance
• Report accidents and escalate appropriately
• Lead with honesty, transparency, and sound judgment
