Driver Manager
About The Position
AFC Transport is looking for a Driver Sucess Manager to lead a team of drivers and ensure their success on and off the road. In this role, you’ll balance driver satisfaction, safety, and operational efficiency while keeping freight moving and customers happy. As the link between drivers, dispatch, safety, and maintenance, you’ll own the performance of your fleet, building strong driver relationships, tracking key performance metrics, and solving problems in real time. Requirements
- Experience in fleet management, driver management, or logistics operations
- Strong communication and coaching skills — able to build trust with drivers
- Ability to balance profitability, safety, and service expectations
- Hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Build relationships and maintain daily communication with drivers
- Monitor and coach driver performance to hit revenue, utilization, and safety goals
- Partner with Dispatch to optimize routing and maximize load efficiency
- Resolve service issues quickly and keep operations running smoothly
- Ensure DOT compliance and coordinate equipment needs with Maintenance and Safety
