About The Position

Successful completion of agency driving training course required before end of probationary period. Requirements

  • 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in laws & signs applicable for operation of motorized vehicles, to include commercial vehicles & Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ policies & procedures governing testing for & issuance of driver licenses & commercial vehicle licenses; AND 1 yr. exp. in supervisory principles & techniques or providing work direction & training to other employees; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
  • 12 mos. exp. as Driver License Examiner 2 (Lead Worker), 24333; AND valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
  • 12 mos. exp. as CDL Field Representative 24332; AND 12 mos. exp. in providing work direction & training to other employees; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
  • 12 mos. exp. as Driver Examination Field Representative 24334; AND 12 mos. exp. in providing work direction & training to other employees; AND valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
  • equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises lower ranking examiners &/or supports personnel at a district level
  • Schedules, trains & evaluates employees assigned to the district
  • Oversees the daily operations of the facilities
  • Conducts written, oral & over the road license testing
  • Investigates complaints & documents facts relating to said complaints & issues discipline
  • Interacts with the public on a daily basis as the representative of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles
