PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Driver commissions is also a delivery driver who drives the company vehicle to safely deliver the goods to restaurants on a daily basis. You will be receiving the base pay plus the site-specific commissions.

Requirements

  • A good history of DMV/MVR record
  • Possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the class of vehicle
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to use forklift or pallet jack to move the pallets and/or products
  • Successfully pass background check including criminal history and drug screening
  • Successfully pass DOT physical exam
  • Successfully passing the Human Performance Evaluation on Lift, Lift-Carry, Push-Pull, Climb, and Repetitive Posture.
  • The employee must be able to see and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
  • Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs
  • Repetitive hand use is required, including pushing and pulling up to 50lbs, reaching above shoulder
  • Frequent bending and squatting are required
  • The employee must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
  • High school or GED equivalent.
  • Proven box truck or at least 24 ft- long truck driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans and trucks
  • Delivering food to customers on designated routes
  • Unload products and place items in customer storage area.
  • Maintaining regular communication with route dispatchers or managers
  • Offload the items from the truck and review deliveries with recipients to ensure they’re accurate
  • Obtaining delivery confirmations from customers by having them to sign the invoice
  • Cleaning and servicing van or truck for the next delivery
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management
