Position Summary: The driver/shipping technician position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. This involves packaging parts for shipment, inspect and unload incoming shipments, and maintaining documentation. This position is also responsible for some local deliveries, and will require the employee to obtain a chauffeur's license.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, vocational training (logistics)
Clean driving record required
At least 1 year related experience
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to use precision measurement tools

Nice To Haves

Forklift operator’s license preferred, chauffer's license required

Responsibilities

Complete job documentation
Package and label parts for shipping and communicate shortages of parts
Inspect and unload incoming shipments, refuse bad items, inform shipper to replace damaged items and correct shortages
Maintain inventory in manufacturing software
Occasionally assist with local delivery
Load and secure parts
Meet and exceed customer expectations
Quote shipments
