About The Position

The Drillers Assistant provides essential support to drilling operations by assisting with well installation, roadbox installation, and roadbox repairs. Support job site logistics by loading and unloading equipment for each project, and ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and prepared for upcoming work.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or quivalent required
  • Ability and/or Skills
  • Mechanical skills and familiarity with tools and equipment are required.
  • Ability to learn and apply drilling and well installation methods.
  • Ability to be cross-trained in sample collection procedures and related field tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage tools, equipment, and job site tasks efficiently.
  • Comfort lifting up to 100lbs
  • This position will stand and walk over 80% of the time
  • Comfortable wearing PPE
  • Comfortable with load noises or power tools, etc.
  • Must have a valid US drivers license without recent incident.
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Environmental science degree desired
  • CDL B is preferred.
  • Equipment/automotive repair or welding experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Travel within a 100-mile radius to support well drilling projects.
  • Operate company vehicles to access job sites and safely load and unload tools, pipes, and materials.
  • Set up and prepare job sites, including staging equipment and assisting with site preparation activities.
  • Assist with the installation of monitoring wells.
  • Mix, pour, and finish concrete as required for project needs.
  • Operate equipment such as gas-powered asphalt saws for cutting concrete pads.
  • Support soil boring activities using drill rigs and handheld soil sampling equipment.
  • Perform physically demanding labor, including working extended hours and lifting equipment weighing 100+ lbs.
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely while following instructions and established procedures.
  • Will be cross-trained in environmental sample collection
  • Other duties as assigned.
