About The Position

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater Northeast is seeking an Analyst I. The Analyst l position prepares and analyzes drinking water samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures.
This position is full time Mon-Fri. 8:00am-4:30pm. Must be able to work a Saturday rotation every few weeks. Must live a commutable distance to Derry, New Hampshire
Compensation range: $20-22/hour DOE with full benefits

Requirements

• Work independently following written or verbal instructions
• Cooperate and coordinate both orally and in writing
• Follow and learn appropriate protocols in all of the following disciplines: Ion Chromatography Wet Chemistry Microbiology
• BS or BA in Chemistry or related field / 3 years of laboratory experience may substitute for degree
• Minimum of 8 Chemistry credits required
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

• Previous production-oriented work (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)

Responsibilities

• Preparation of samples using standard techniques
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
• Calculating data
• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with environmental health safety and quality assurance standards
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
