Position Overview The Water Well Drilling Assistant will assist our Drilling and Pump Technicians with daily operations, including equipment operation, job site preparation, and installation tasks. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning the well drilling and water treatment trade .
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel to job sites in the Baltimore and surrounding areas
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently within a team environment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Basic tool identification and mechanical aptitude preferred
- Interest in learning water conditioning and well drilling operations
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating equipment or trailers is a plus (training available)
Responsibilities
- Assist Drill and Pump Technicians with daily job site tasks
- Load, transport, and manage materials and equipment
- Operate equipment such as backhoes, mini-excavators, and skid steers (Bobcats) when needed
- Maintain responsibility for assigned materials and tools
- Follow all safety rules and job site procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Perform physically active work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team
