About The Position

Supervisor and ensure safe operations, while monitoring performance. Qualification and Experience At least 5 years’ experience in comparable role in drayage Knowledge of drayage business and processes in Houston area, ideally good contacts at Port of Houston and Rail Terminals. Experience in dedicated onsite logistics (preferable). Ideally, experience in petrochemical industry Computer literate, especially in MS-Office, SAP a plus. Important Personal Skills Familiar with and able to work with the company’s quality and environmental policies (advanced safety training). Ability to work with deadlines. Ability to cope with pressure. People manager. Innovation-oriented. Able to plan and organize daily activities. Languages: Fluent English (Spoken and Written) / other languages advantageous. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE. 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S. Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss, plan and organise allocation of resources in specific shift
  • Ensure quality and quantity of executed work as defined
  • Assist in development and ensure abidance to SOP’s and safety instructions
  • Supervise and ensure safe operations
  • Ensure a safe, clean work environment
  • Receive instructions from planning and ensure execution
  • Ensure issue of incident reports
  • Monitor and report operational performance
  • Define disciplinary actions
  • Participate in daily planning meetings, if required
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
