At PDM, we don't just make metal products-we craft them with passion, precision, and purpose. Guided by our Copper Core Values, we are seeking a skilled Draw Bench Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is perfect for operators who take pride in quality, embrace safety, and thrive in a collaborative, values-driven environment. As a Draw Bench Machine Operator, you will set up and operate machinery that cold-draws metal materials-like copper tubes, rods, and wires-to achieve precise diameters and wall thicknesses while increasing length. Your work ensures our products meet the exacting standards that our customers expect. You will be hands-on every day: installing and adjusting dies, mandrel rods, and tooling; loading raw materials and unloading finished products using equipment such as overhead cranes or forklifts; and conducting detailed dimensional inspections with micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Your attention to detail helps maintain quality-one of our core values-while also keeping operations running smoothly. Safety is always a top priority. You will follow strict protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain an organized workspace to protect yourself and your teammates. Your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills will come into play when performing routine maintenance, polishing tooling, or troubleshooting minor issues to reduce downtime. We also value integrity and accountability: accurate documentation of production logs, tagging finished products, and recording quality data in electronic systems are essential parts of the role. Collaboration is key, so you'll work closely with team members across shifts to ensure consistent results and uphold the Team PDM spirit. To thrive in this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED, solid mechanical aptitude, and strong math skills, including basic algebra and geometry. Physical stamina is important, as operators typically stand for long shifts (up to 10-12 hours) and lift between 15 and 80 pounds. Comfort working in non-climate-controlled, noisy manufacturing environments is required. Basic computer literacy, including experience with ERP systems or Microsoft Excel, is preferred. At PDM, we're looking for people who share our passion for excellence and innovation, take pride in producing high-quality work, prioritize safety, and collaborate as part of a team. If you're motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a company that truly values its people and products, we want to hear from you. Why PDM? Work with advanced manufacturing equipment in a values-driven environment Opportunities for growth and skill development Competitive pay and benefits Be part of a team that lives its Copper Core Values every day
