Under the direction of the Performing Arts Education Specialist, the Drama Instructor will serve as a stage manager, scenery & props coordinator, or costume coordinator role on Applause! Cary Youth Theatre's mainstage productions. Currently seeking drama instructors with weekday, daytime availability and/or weekend, weeknight availability with experience teaching students ages 8-18 to work as production staff on mainstage youth theatre productions. Ideal candidates are specialized in one or more of the following areas: stage management, costume design and construction, or scenery and props design and construction. This position will have a variable work schedule including some weekdays, evenings, weekends and occasional holidays as needed. All applicants are required to attach a sample lesson plan for a drama class of an age of your choosing (PreK, K-1, 2-3, 4-5, middle, high, adult, senior) that highlights your unique skillset/interests. Attach lesson plan to your application or copy & paste. This is a part-time, non-benefited, year-round position, up to 20 hours a week, with a maximum of 999 hours per year.
