About The Position

This position of Drama Club Assistant Advisor works with the high school Drama Club Advisor as the Assistant Director and Choreographer for the Spring Musical or any other music performances put on by the drama club. They assist in recruitment, auditions, rehearsals, and performances as well as helping to promote the arts district wide.

Requirements

  • Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance
  • I-9 employment eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act
  • HIV/HBV training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided)
  • This position requires the coordinator to be flexible and have the ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously.
  • The coordinator must possess outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in selecting the spring musical
  • Assist in musical auditions, callbacks, and dance call
  • Running all dance rehearsals and planning choreography for the productions
  • Available to be Assistant Director during weekly rehearsals
  • Assist when needed for movement and staging incorporated into non-musical plays
  • Assisting Director in their duties, helping with paperwork and promotions.
  • Responsible for the safety, welfare and conduct of the students
