About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Drafter - Mechanical. This is an ONSITE position, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, located at Eaton's Greenwood SC facility. The role involves preparing complex layouts, coordination bus connection details, sketches, 3-D models, flat files, and drawings using CAD 3D models or other computer programs and software for new and modified designs. The Drafter will also develop special layouts and sketches for engineering tests, prepare necessary information for material procurement, manufacturing, and installation, produce and load product structure bills of material into business systems, and compile data for project assignments, specifications, reports, and other related documents.

Requirements

Associate degree in engineering/design technology or equivalent from an accredited institution or obtaining this degree within 6 months of hire
Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Eaton's Greenwood SC location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum one (1) year of experience with 3D CAD systems such as AutoCAD Inventor designing electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

Prepare complex layouts, coordination bus connection details, sketches, 3-D models, flat files, and drawings using CAD 3D models or various other computer programs and software, relating to new and modified designs.
Develop special layout and sketches for engineering tests to determine the acceptance application, operating characteristics, or performance of components of the assemblies.
Prepare necessary information to ensure efficient and timely material procurement, manufacturing information, and installation of assemblies.
Produce and load product structure bills of material into business systems.
Compile data required for project assignments and developed specifications, reports, and other related written documents as required.
Other duties as assigned.
