About The Position

The Drafter Level 4 plays a critical role in transforming conceptual designs and engineering ideas into detailed technical drawings and plans that guide the construction and manufacturing processes. This position requires a high level of precision and expertise in drafting standards to ensure that all drawings meet regulatory and client specifications. The Drafter Level 4 collaborates closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret complex design requirements and incorporate revisions efficiently. This role demands proficiency in advanced CAD software and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve design inconsistencies. Ultimately, the Drafter Level 4 ensures that all documentation is accurate, clear, and delivered on time to support successful project execution within the Other Services industry sector across the United States.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional drafting experience, preferably in the Other Services industry or a related sector.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MicroStation.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, symbols, and conventions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical information.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from a recognized drafting or CAD professional organization (e.g., ACDS, ASME).
• Experience with 3D modeling and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
• Familiarity with project management software and collaborative design platforms.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory codes and compliance standards specific to the Other Services industry.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed technical drawings and plans using advanced CAD software based on engineering and architectural specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements, maintaining high accuracy and quality.
• Review and verify drawings for completeness and correctness before submission for approval or construction use.
• Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and project files to support project tracking and audits.
• Assist in troubleshooting design issues and provide technical support during project development phases.
• Stay updated with the latest drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices.
