About The Position

Centurum is seeking a Drafter and CAD operator to create and modify technical drawings in support of NIWC government programs in Charleston, SC. The candidate will use existing drawings, vendor drawings, or 2D/3D drawings to develop and modify shipboard and/or shore-based installation drawings, to include equipment drawings, arrangements, elevations, mounting and assembly details, case assembly drawings, and cable block diagrams. The candidate must be able to create new AutoCAD files from drawings, technical manuals, and military/DoD and commercial specifications and must be familiar with linking excel tables to AutoCAD. The candidate should demonstrate familiarity with military specifications, standards, and/or designations and will be required to work effectively as a member of a drafting team to complete large projects.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of experience drafting/illustrating in the electronics field, to include: computerized drafting applications, digital imaging techniques, use of AutoCad, planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items.
• Experience with DoD processes and procedures.
• High School diploma or GED and AutoCAD or equivalent drafting certification.
• Security clearance: Secret (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in Engineering technology or a related field is preferred.
