As Downline Utility at a food manufacturing company, your primary responsibility is to assist in the production and packaging of food products. You will work as part of a team to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company quality standards and regulations. A general laborer at a food manufacturing company should be diligent, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of food production processes.

Requirements

High school or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a production/manufacturing environment or related field is a plus.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Good communication skills.
Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
Knowledge of Food Safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMPs) is beneficial.
Work in a fast-paced work environment
Work well within a team environment
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry standard cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery and equipment used in food production, such as conveyors and packaging machines.
Monitor and control the flow of raw materials through various stages of production.
Conduct visual inspections of food products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Report any product defects or irregularities to supervisors.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain product integrity and safety.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly to maintain a hygienic manufacturing environment.
Dispose of waste and recyclables properly.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records and inventory logs.
Complete required paperwork and documentation.
Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Attend training sessions to stay updated on safety procedures, food handling regulations, and company policies.
