Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to weights, measures and record keeping.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and additional shifts based on business needs.
  • High School diploma.
  • Required to regularly lift to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, sitting, walking for long periods of time.
  • Use of stairs, stools and ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the equipment is stocked with packaging materials such as corrugated wraps and glue for cases and stretch wrap at palletizer.
  • Operate automatic palletizer and wrapper.
  • Monitor the manual palletizing during shift to ensure steady production.
  • Set-up and monitor barcode scanners and printers.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Perform all quality checks such as verifying gable codes, and case codes, verifying fiber tears on cases and gable alignment.
  • Accurately document and report operator quality inspections and monitor case packing equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Clear jams and spills and manually operate equipment as necessary.
  • Picking and staging outbound orders.
  • Effectively maintain product storage and rotation.
  • Unload, sort, and stack pallets keeping the palletizer always loaded.
  • Provide break and lunch relief to co-workers in the area.
  • Attend and participate in daily shift meetings.
  • Uphold visual management of the work area.
  • Follows and supports continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies
  • Strict adherence to all GMP and food safety policies.
  • Perform necessary preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions and abnormalities to Maintenance Technicians for follow-up and repairs.
  • Housekeeping of the area.
  • Create and follow-up on work orders for area as needed.
  • Completes all required training on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
