Oversee and maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, including driver qualification files, hours of service, drug and alcohol testing, and vehicle maintenance programs. Conduct routine internal audits of driver logs, DVIRs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation. Ensure all fleet assets meet federal and state safety requirements and are properly equipped and documented. Maintain accurate, up-to-date DOT records and always ensure audit readiness. Coordinate new hire onboarding related to DOT compliance, including driver qualification and regulatory training. Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to drivers and internal staff regarding DOT regulations and company policies. Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to policies, procedures, and practices as needed. Support accident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans in coordination with Fleet Management. Partner with safety, operations, and leadership to promote a culture of compliance and accountability.
