Dosimetrist
About The Position
A Medical Dosimetrist must be able to understand the technical aspects of radiation therapy treatments and communicate these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Therapists. Must have a working knowledge of radiation safety and an above average aptitude in mathematical skills. Must possess the ability to interpret treatment plans as defined in relevant treatment protocols. Must be able to visualize objects in three-dimensional concepts to facilitate the planning process. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.
