About The Position
Department of State OPS Maintenance Support Technician Division of Historical Resources Bureau of Historical Museums Open Competitive Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of paid work experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical equipment. Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or one of the building trades can substitute at the rate of 360 classroom hours for one year of experience. Experience with repair and maintenance procedures and methods Skilled in the proper use of maintenance tools and products Valid Driver’s License Able to work Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and occasionally weekend and after hours as needed. Requirements

Responsibilities
- As part of the maintenance staff, assists in making repairs to buildings, facilities, and grounds.
- As part of the maintenance staff, assists in maintaining sitewide plumbing, heating, electrical, and security systems.
- Support day-to-day museum operations.
- Assist with preparing the site for extreme weather and helping clean up after extreme weather.
- Assist with other Department of State activities or initiatives as needed
