About The Position

The Door Production Assistant plays a key role in supporting three core production areas: Finishing, CNC Operations, and Pre-Installation. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and the flexibility to contribute across various stages of door fabrication and assembly.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in woodworking, fabrication, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Able to lift and maneuver doors weighing 50–75 lbs safely.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders).
• Willing to train on CNC equipment and follow shop safety procedures.
• High attention to detail and consistent quality-focused mindset.
• Reliable attendance, strong teamwork, and a flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Sand and prepare wood doors for staining and finishing.
• Apply finished materials (e.g., stains, sealers) as directed.
• Stage doors and maintain an orderly prep workspace.
• Perform finishing in the absence of the finisher.
• Stage and move wood doors for CNC machine processing.
• Assist the CNC operator in cutting and routing doors (training provided).
• Perform post-cut finishing and inspection.
• Perform CNC operation in the absence of the CNC operator.
• Stage finished doors and pull associated hardware.
• Assist in installing hinges, locks, closers, and other hardware components.
• Organize and verify materials based on work orders.
