The role of the Door Attendant will assist patients, families, and visitors entering & exiting the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion for Cancer Care. He/ She will project a positive image of the Center by demonstrating a courteous, caring, and professional manner.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and continuously move around.
- Ability to assist patients in and out of wheelchairs and vehicles.
- Good interpersonal communication and judgment skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior concierge or Door Attendant experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to patients and visitors entering and exiting MSK buildings.
- Identify, respond to, and attempt to resolve potential and actual concerns, problems, complaints and inquiries.
- Assist the Security Department in providing a secure environment for the hospital staff and patients by observations, inquiry, and timely referral for the follow-up by Security Guards and Supervisors.
- Respond to emergencies (e.g. fires, floods, bomb scares, power failures, toxic spills, weather) as outlined in the Emergency Preparedness Plan.
