About The Position

Carter Lumber, founded in 1932 by W.E. Under minimal supervision, the Door Assembler will review each work order, ensure proper materials are available, and set up the necessary equipment and material to assemble doors according to the provided design. This includes cutting components accurately, performing hinge and lockset prep, and cutting and fastening jambs, stops, and casings. Various assembly machinery, as well as power, air, and hand tools, are used. The primary goal is to complete orders accurately and according to schedule.

Requirements

Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to do repetitious work at a fast pace while standing for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds without assistance

Nice To Haves

Experience in manufacturing
Experience in the use of a variety of tools
General carpentry skills

Responsibilities

Review each work order and ensure proper materials are available
Set up the necessary equipment and material to assemble the doors according to the design provided
Cut components accurately
Perform hinge and lockset prep
Cut and fasten jambs, stops, and casings
Complete orders accurately and according to schedule
