About The Position

Atlas Free is on a mission to end sex trafficking and exploitation. Our work is urgent, relational, and built on trust. Strong fundraising requires more than compelling stories or passionate advocates—it requires systems, discipline, and operational excellence. This role exists to build and lead the operational infrastructure that allows Atlas Free’s fundraising efforts to scale. From donor journeys to reporting systems, the Donor Systems Manager ensures that we operate with clarity, consistency, and measurable results. We are looking for a Development Manager who can design and lead the systems that support donor engagement, retention, and revenue growth. This role requires someone who thinks strategically about processes, builds strong infrastructure, and ensures teams execute with discipline. This role demands operational leadership, strategic thinking, and ruthless discipline. The right candidate is obsessed with building systems that work, auditing them regularly, and creating processes that enable long-term growth. This is a high-impact team, advancing Atlas Free’s development efforts with focus and intention. This role calls for an operational leader who can build infrastructure that allows fundraising efforts to scale while maintaining the relational depth that defines our work. Someone who can bring clarity to processes, strengthen execution across teams, and ensure the Development department operates with discipline.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of nonprofit experience in development operations, fundraising strategy, or donor relations systems
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience building or managing donor journey infrastructure and engagement systems
  • Strong experience working with CRMs such as Salesforce, Virtuous, Raiser’s Edge, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated experience improving fundraising systems, donor retention, or operational workflows
  • Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and manage fundraising systems, including donor journeys, pipelines, and workflows
  • Lead and develop a small team, providing clear priorities, workflows, and cross-team coordination for aligned execution
  • Partner with the CRM Specialist and Analyst to track KPIs and ensure reporting drives informed fundraising decisions
  • Build and execute donor engagement strategies, including communication journeys and timely, personalized outreach
  • Ongoing risk mitigation through strong processes, compliance, and data integrity safeguards
  • Lead initiatives that boost retention, second-gift conversion, and long-term donor engagement across campaigns and events
  • Oversee donor journey infrastructure, mapping pathways, touchpoints, and engagement processes
  • Develop systems for donor acquisition and pipeline growth, including prospect research, wealth screening, and emerging revenue pathways
  • Manage a portfolio of 50+ donors, ensuring timely communication, stewardship, and connection to their impact
