Bereavement Support Delivers grief and bereavement support for LifeCenter Northwest donor families. Facilitates majority of all post donor case family follow-up, including, but not limited to phone calls, written correspondence, answering questions, and donor family bereavement needs, etc. Ensures donor families receive accurate and timely information regarding organ and tissue recovery and transplant outcomes. Ensures donor families have accurate, real-time access to information about bereavement support via website, printed collateral, email, and phone. Works in collaboration with the Donor Family Aftercare Coordinator to support donor family and transplant recipient communication in collaboration with transplant centers and other Organ Procurement Organizations, ensuring timely response to requests, and quality documentation. Support in coordinating the donor family quilt program. Supports donor families who experience hospital billing issues related to donation and ensure timely follow up with LifeCenter’s Accounting team for bills to be reviewed and resolved as appropriate. Communications and Events Works in close collaboration with the Director, External Affairs and Donor Family Aftercare Events Coordinator on the execution of donor family events. Takes lead responsibility in the management of the Donation Community Facebook group and provides support with website auditing. Takes lead responsibility for scheduling, managing, and hosting donor family support groups (virtual and in-person). Provides support to Donor Family Aftercare Coordinator with the hosting of Correspondence Workshops. Works in close partnership with the Director, External Affairs to provide ongoing internal training to LifeCenter staff. Partner Relations Engages with transplant centers through regular interaction with transplant center social workers. Works in collaboration with LifeCenter’s Hospital Development team to ensure hospital partners have a clear understanding of LifeCenter’s donor family bereavement support. Documentation and Data Management Ensures accurate and timely documentation of all family support interactions including, but not limited to, iTransplant and shared spreadsheets. Reviews completed donor family surveys aimed at gathering data to improve overall program performance. Provides database management support to donor family programs. Supervision This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Other Responsibilities Participates in, and may lead, employee committees and events. Complies with applicable laws, regulations, and LifeCenter policies and procedures.
