A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A DONATION ATTENDANT / STOCK ASSOCIATE As an entry-level Donation Attendant / Stock Associate, you are the face of our agency to our donors. You accept, load, unload, sort, and price donations. With a gracious and positive attitude, you accept merchandise donations and provide assistance to our donors. You always offer them a coupon, a receipt, and a smile. With efficiency and a great sense of organization, you sort clothing and household goods into categories. You test electronics to ensure they work properly before pricing them. You also keep accurate and up-to-date records of donations. Your friendly disposition comes through in all your interactions, and you are a pleasure to work with for fellow employees and donors alike. You help promote the development of service participants. You are committed to safety and help keep your work area clean and void of hazards as well as operate equipment with attention to safe operating procedures. You feel great about the vital role you play in supporting our mission of serving the community.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load donations for clothing, furniture, and other household goods
  • Ability to work outside in whatever Mother Nature throws our way
  • Customer service skills
  • Good communication skills and enjoy working with people
  • Able to work efficiently with an awareness of what is going on around you
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Accept, load, unload, sort, and price donations
