Job Description As the Domestic Tax Manager, you will play an important role in domestic corporate income tax compliance, tax provision, and process improvement—especially through automation. You'll collaborate with Corporate Finance, business units, and the Domestic Tax Director to guide accurate reporting and strategic programs. You will report to our Director Domestic Tax and work a hybrid schedule at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and external resources to ensure federal tax filings, including estimated payments, extensions, and returns.
  • Prepare and review components of the federal consolidated and partnership income tax returns for joint venture.
  • Integrate international tax data into domestic filings with the Global Tax team.
  • Review quarterly estimated payments and extension calculations.
  • Prepare and review workpapers supporting quarterly and annual tax provisions (balance sheet and P&L).
  • Maintain Longview tax provision software and related documentation for accurate reporting. (includes managing upgrade processes)
  • Implement automation opportunities using technology tools such as Alteryx.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT to improve data management for tax analysis.
  • Use SAP, FCC, and tax applications to gather financial data.
  • Review tax-related account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Build relationships to support accurate reporting.
  • Monitor federal tax legislation and assess business impact.
  • Manage staff and interns, promoting professional development.
  • Support tax audits and planning programs (e.g., entity rationalization, M&A, U.S. tax reform).
  • Partner with Internal Audit to maintain tax controls.
