Electrocatalysis and Materials Discovery For Energy Conversion and Alternative Fuel: There are many projects available in my group. The main theme of these projects is nanomaterials synthesis for energy conversion, hydrogen production, CO2 electrocatalysis, fuel cells, and low temperature electrolyzers. The students involved in these projects will gain knowledge in two or more of the following areas: Inorganic Chemistry Nanomaterials synthesis, Nanomaterials characterization, Electrocatalysis, Electrochemical testing, Fuel Cells, Low temperature water electrolyzers, CO2 electrocatalysis, Oxygen reduction reactions, Oxygen evolution reactions, and High-throughput materials synthesis. Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Applicants must be: o Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution. o Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or o Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application. If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
