About The Position

Performing a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, testing, modifying, assembling, maintaining and repairing of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment Evaluating components, subsystems, test equipment, and software, providing technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment Performing aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment, supporting aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations Assisting in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks #LI-TF1

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent DoD SIGINT experience
  • Must be able to operate as a single maintainer
  • SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
  • THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL with CI POLY ELIGIBILITY
  • Travel required 25-35%; sometimes the travel will be short notice

Nice To Haves

  • Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems
  • Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
  • Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
  • Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
  • CompTIA Security+ certified or within 12 months
