About The Position

St. Michael’s is hiring a Security Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DOD) client. This is a client-facing role that will benefit from program management experience and experience with processes and systems used to support security services within the DOD. The core value of Teamwork will be paramount as the specialist will both lead and work as a contributing member to a team of security specialists providing support across multiple security disciplines in the client’s security services office.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret w/SCI clearance
• High school diploma or higher
• 1 or more years of experience working in a security role within government or military sectors
• 1 or more years of experience supporting medium scale DOD organizations
• 1 or more years of experience in DISS, federal record policy, and risk assessments
• Demonstrated experience identifying security vulnerabilities, recommending mitigation strategies, and training others in these areas
• Experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Personnel Security (PERSEC) supporting DOD customers
• Program management experience
• Experience with processes and systems used to support security services within the DOD

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site administrative support for security related files and information, including records management
• Provide support to client customers requiring assistance with a variety of security related tasks (e.g., CAC issuance, VARs, System Access, SCI Indocs)
• Manage and monitor email inbox and other communication channels
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly metric recording and tracking
• Support inspections and participate in training activities
