About The Position

Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client. These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, business process remediation, change management, and strategic communication. Our Guidehouse team will provide: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures Expert support for audit remediation, sustainment, and financial statement reporting and analysis Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems Understanding of DoD acquisition, inventory, property and material management

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • TWO (2) or more years' experience supporting audit remediation efforts, including experience with audit liaison, internal controls testing, corrective action planning, and/or accelerated audit strategies. Experience should include accounting, audit, budget, finance, internal controls, and business process improvement
  • TWO (2) or more years' experience supporting the federal government

Nice To Haves

  • A currently ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Secret Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Master's degree
  • Currently possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Program Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy
